Lavada Crisp
Lavada Buchanan Crisp, 76, of Maryville, Tenn, formerly of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Fairpark Health Center in Maryville, Tenn.
A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Hazel Snider Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Crisp.
Lavada worked for 39 years with Phillips and Jordan, beginning in the Robbinsville office and transferring later to Knoxville, Tenn.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Thomas and Kimberly Crisp of Maryville, Tenn., Angie and Rob Webb of Seymour, Tenn., and Michele and Chip Chasser of Warren, Ohio; her brother, Max Buchanan of Robbinsville, N.C.; and her sister, Denise Patterson of Robbinsville, N.C. She has six grandchildren, Tristan and Braden Crisp, Rachel, Kady and Ryder Webb and John Curtis Walker, and one great-grandson, Ezekiel Walker.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019 at the Old Mother Cemetery. Rev. Daniel Stewart officiated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
