Leona West

Leona Wiggins West, 91, of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Holloway Wiggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis West; her brother, Henry Wiggins; her nephew, Oliver Wiggins; and her great nephew, Brian Wright.  

She is survived by her niece, Sandra Long, of Robbinsville, N.C.; her nephew, Alfred Wiggins, of Robbinsville, N.C.; her great-niece, Lisa Conley of Andrews, N.C.; her great-nephews, Michael Wiggins of Robbinsville, N.C., and Clay Wiggins and Anthony Wiggins, both of Andrews, N.C. She has several great-great nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Revs. Josh Stewart and Jack Millsaps officiated. Burial followed at Wiggins Cemetery. The family received friends from 11 a.m. until noon at the Chapel, prior to the services.
