Lois Christine Queen, 92 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, after a long illness.
A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Thomas A. Kuykendall and Bonnie Kuykendall (Plemmons). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschell D. Queen, Sr.; and a son, Albert K. Queen, Sr.
Lois is survived by her three other children: Katre Farmer (Dorvan), Althea Butler and Herschell Dale Queen, Jr. (Brenda). She has several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Lois was an avid gardener and loved her beautiful flowers. Now she is walking the streets of gold and viewing her Lord and Saviors masterpiece. She was a member of the Nantahala Baptist Church on Wesser Creek. In Robbinsville, she attended Sweetgum Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022 at Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City, N.C. Viewing was at 1 p.m., prior to the service at 2 p.m.
Burial followed at Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews, N.C.
Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City was in charge of all arrangements.
