Randall H. Atwell, 70, of the Stecoah Community of Robbinsville, N.C. passed away, Monday, Jan. 6, 2020 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Rockwell Atwell and Cora Lee Carver Atwell Pearson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Loudon Orr; brothers, Hugh Atwell, David Atwell, and Gary Pearson.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Crisp Atwell; daughters, Candace “Candy” Odom of Warner Robbins, Ga., Heather Gibby of Robbinsville, N.C., Morgan Ivey of Homer, Ga., Candace Orr of Acworth, Ga.; brother, Darrell Pearson of Gastonia, N.C.; sister, Edith Forbes of Kings Mountain., N.C.; and Special Sister, Mama Sue Lewis of Robbinsville, N.C.
He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Storm, Alexa, Trey, Ty, Graham, London; and 1 great-grandchild, Bowen.
Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at Stecoah Baptist Church. Rev. Daniel Stewart officiated. Masonic Rites were also given by the Robbinsville Masonic Lodge #672.
The family received friends from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the church, prior to the service.
Committal services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at the Jenkins Cemetery.
