Roger D. Adams, 72 of the West Buffalo community in Robbinsville, N.C., went to his heavenly home Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was a native of Graham County, and the son of Ruth Hedrick Adams and the late Lexter Adams. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant, and infant daughter, Holly Elizabeth Adams.

Roger was a member of the Graham County Rescue Squad and a founding member of the Snowbird Fire Department. He was also a long-time member and deacon of Cedar Cliff Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Pam Stewart Adams; son and daughter-in-law, Mason and Blaine Adams of Robbinsville, N.C.; sisters, Martha Hooper of Robbinsville, N.C., Karen Orr of Griffin, Ga., and Connie Gunter of Asheville, N.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews that he thought of as his children: Tommy, Jason, Lucas, Leslie, Jacob, Nikki and Noel, Jared, Julia, Caleb, John, Jaclyn, Chastity and Marshall.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at Cedar Cliff Baptist Church.

The Revs. Mickey Stewart, Jimmy Millsaps, and Daniel Stewart officiated, with a eulogy given by Jaclyn Stewart Brown. Burial followed the service at Carver Cemetery.

The family received friends from noon – 2 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
