Ronald Steve Jenkins, of Humble, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021.
He was the son of Hilda Sawyer Jenkins of Stecoah, N.C. and the late Frazier Jenkins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Reba Jenkins Woodard and his brother, Rex Jenkins.
In addition to his mother, Ron is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Jane Satterfield Jenkins of Humble, Texas; his children, Erin Jenkins of Stecoah, N.C. and Steven Jenkins of Stecoah, N.C.; stepdaughter, Jessica Yates of Robbinsville, N.C.; stepsons, Eric Yates of Holly Rodge, N.C., and Travis Yates of Lufkin, Texas; and his brother, Gary Jenkins of Stecoah, N.C.
He has eight grandchildren, Leo Jenkins, Elliot Yates, Owen Yates, Brandon Yates, Caleb Draper, Elizabeth Ayers, Cameron Yates and Kyra Yates; and one great-grandchild, Dean Miller.
Ron was a member of Stecoah Baptist Church.
A private viewing will be held.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Teem officiating.
