Sharon E. Harris, age 81, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Skyland Care Center in Sylva, N.C.
Sharon was a kind and loving person; she loved talking to people. She loved her family very much!
She loved all sorts of animals, especially her Chihuahua, “Bitty.”
She enjoyed the springtime and planting flowers; her favorite were petunias. Her favorite color was pink.She loved getting dressed up! And she liked having her nails painted.
She liked to travel; her most memorable trips were getting to go on a cruise and having a reunion with her sisters in Pigeon Forge.
Sharon was the daughter of the late Burgess Gather Hensley and Winnie Elizabeth Sharp Hensley. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Angus Stephen Harris, Jr.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Jannah Harris Swan of Canton, Ga.; five grandchildren, Crystal Durley and Shelby Swan of Talking Rock, Ga., and Cody Swan, Cole Swan and Casey Swan of Canton, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, River and Rain (Crystal), and Luke (Shelby).
Sharon also leaves behind her three sisters: Anna Mae Hensley Wright of Louisville, Tenn., Dorothy Hensley Wiggins of Greenbrier, Alaska and Ethel Hensley Sheffey of Robbinsville, N.C.; and a few cousins, several nieces and nephews and many friends!
Sharon was a member of the Andrews Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
