Council approves patrol agreement

Lake Santeetlah – Off-duty Graham County deputies will now be paid to patrol Lake Santeetlah in uniform – and in sheriff’s department vehicles – in a deal struck with Graham County Sheriff Jerry Crisp. The measure was approved 4-1, with Roger Carlton opposed.

Brookfield: Weather to blame for silt entering Lake Santeetlah

Lake Santeetlah – After a large amount of silt entered Lake Santeetlah last week, Brookfield Renewable said that it was due to heavy rainfall.

Lake Santeetlah – The Town of Lake Santeetlah continues to look at the way it records its minutes.  Council Member Roger Carlton expressed concerns regarding the way the town’s minutes were recorded at Jan. 14’s monthly meeting.

Santeetlah council weighs septic easement

Lake Santeetlah – Dec. 10’s Town of Lake Santeetlah council meeting featured a substantial amount of discussion on a septic tank easement.  Lake Santeetlah homeowner Tonya Bassett requested a variance for a septic tank installation.

Santeetlah hires new zoning administrator

Lake Santeetlah – Just a couple of weeks removed from agreeing to hire a new zoning administrator, the town moved forward with finalizing the paperwork. At a special called meeting on Aug. 24, council members discussed Bryan Farley’s contract.
