John William Carswell, 77 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021. A native of Burke County, N.C., he had resided in Graham County for over 40 years, and was the son of the late Ernest and Genevieve Carswell.

Betty Jean “Jody” Carver, 74 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of Elma Adams Stratton and the late Hoover Williams.

Lady Knights enter tournament finals, playoffs

Robbinsville -- The Lady Knights put everything together at the right time. Wednesday's Smoky Mountain Conference tournament finale pitted Robbinsville (No. 2 seed, 19-3) against Murphy (No.
