Andrew Jackson Rogers, 73 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at his residence. He was a native of Graham County, and the son of the late Gordon and Minnie Quilliams Rogers.

Ronald Keith Anderson

Ronald Keith Anderson, 57, departed this life for his heavenly home July 11, 2022, at his residence.  He was born in Marietta, Ga., but had lived in Graham County for most of his life. He was the son of the late Ronald Lee and Doris Brooks Anderson.

Ronald Picon, 61 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 10, 2022, at his residence. He was the son of the late William and Anna Navas Picon.

Mary Anne Massey (Trello)

Mary Anne Massey (Trello), 87 of Robbinsville N.C., passed away Monday July 4, 2022.    She was born on May 2, 1935, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Patsy and Emelia (Vallera) Trello. Mary was a mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Geraldine (Dean) Cook Trull; Steven (Steve) Edward Queen

Geraldine (Dean) Cook Trull and her son Steven (Steve) Edward Queen both went home to be with the Lord, within a few months of each other. Dean passed away Jan. 23, 2021 in Phoenix, Ariz., due to complications from COVID-19. Steve passed away Oct. 28, 2021 in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Robbinsville – There aren’t many people who can say they have worked at the same job for only 40 years. Bud Carpenter has worked for the Town of Robbinsville since he was in his 50s. He just recently turned 95.

1 man, 2 acres

Atoah – Tom Orr started his latest garden just three years ago, but he’s been putting seed to soil his whole life. He has two plots located on the banks of Atoah Creek – two acres in all that could more rightly be described as a small farm.

Robbinsville – A 52-year-old Robbinsville man with a long criminal history from his youth was convicted of theft-related felonies from last year and will spend up to 15 ½ years in prison.
