Caylor throws no-no; Lady Knights shine in season debut

Hayesville – Everywhere you looked, the Lady Knights glimmered in their season opener. Tasked with traveling to Hayesville to kickstart the campaign, Robbinsville (2-0) promptly went on a hitting tear across the second, third and fourth innings.

Robbinsville – Head coach Billy Knight had seen enough. Robbinsville’s skipper gathered his infield for a mid-third inning chat Monday, after the Lady Knights – with three seniors around the horn – had committed two errors in the frame. Whatever Knight said worked.

Robbinsville – Ivy Odom put everybody on notice Friday. One of the Lady Knights’ eight seniors, Odom homered in consecutive innings during the home opener, collecting five RBIs in the process and helping lift Robbinsville (1-1) to a 10-3 triumph against T.C. Roberson (0-2).

Lady Knights continue quest for state championship

Spencer — The Robbinsville Lady Knights saw their 2021-22 season come to an end Thursday night, as they watched a halftime lead over North Rowan slip away in a 78-64 loss. Both Desta Trammell and Yeika Jimenez put up a team-high 18 points for Robbinsville (No. 13 seed).
