Cancer group holding silent auction

By Koda Moody The Graham Star Robbinsville – The Graham Cancer Support Group continues to serve the community, with nearly $30K distributed to those in need. Applications are still being accepted for those battling cancer, with patients eligible for $250 every 90 days.

Group has $33K for aid

Robbinsville – There is more than $33,000 available to help cancer patients in Graham County. During the March 5 Graham Cancer Support Group meeting, treasurer Pam Shaffer informed the board that the ending balance at the end of February was $33,234.

$35K available for cancer patients

Robbinsville – Only six applications for financial aid by those going through cancer treatments were received at the beginning of the year. Thus, the Graham Cancer Support Group announced at its Jan. 21 board meeting that $35,000 was in the bank and ready for use.

Fighting back against cancer

Robbinsville – When Relay for Life was no longer an option in Graham County, many residents were left without a support group during some of their most challenging moments. But a new entity, the Graham Cancer Support Group, has been formed to fill the void.
