Robbinsville – Fresh off a four-set, comeback victory at Swain County on Dec. 4, the Lady Knights seemed to have all the momentum needed to prevail.

Locked and loaded

Robbinsville – Any sign of on-court rust or a lack of cohesiveness in the season debut against Rosman was quickly eliminated. Following a 4-set loss to the Lady Tigers in the Smoky Mountain Conference opener Nov.

One second away

Murphy – It took a buzzer-beating 3 and a war of free throws to knock off the Lady Knights on Tuesday night.

Black Knights reach finals

Hayesville – As expected, Robbinsville Middle School’s strong regular-season campaign cultivated high championship tournament seeding. The Black Knights (13-2) grabbed the No. 1 East seed, while the Lady Knights (10-5) were awarded the No. 2 East seed.

Lady Knights split slate

Hayesville – It wasn’t the conference opener Robbinsville had in mind. After knocking off 2A Smoky Mountain (5-2) for a 55-47 win on Dec.

Knights split with Jackets

Robbinsville – In the lone middle school hoops action of the week, Robbinsville hosted Hayesville on Nov. 25. The Lady Knights improved to 3-1 by picking up a 46-36 victory, while the Knights (3-1) suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of a 54-32 Jackets triumph.

Time for Round 3

Murphy – A win over Hayesville in the semi-finals of the Smoky Mountain Conference tournament Tuesday night has pitted the top two teams in the division against one another for a rubber match. Robbinsville (20-2) received the No.
