Robbinsville – About 75 people showed up to watch a candidate forum on April 23, featuring Republican candidates for Graham County Sheriff, Graham County Board of Commissioners and Graham County Board of Education.

Candidates discuss goals at forum

Robbinsville – About 75 people showed up to watch a candidate forum Saturday evening featuring Republican candidates for Graham County sheriff, school board, and commissioner. The forum, hosted by The Graham Star, focused on contested major offices in the May 17 primary.

Neighbors at odds over barking dog

Robbinsville – Neighbors on Atoah Street – at odds over a barking dog – have brought the Graham County Sheriff’s Office into the dispute, with homeowners exchanging accusations and the sheriff accused of abusive behavior.

Donations accepted through end of month

The Graham County Sheriff’s Office has made plans to spread its own brand of holiday joy this year. The third annual Shop with a Cop will take place in December, where the office buys Christmas presents for county families.

New sheriff in town

Robbinsville – Jerry Crisp was sworn in as Graham County’s new sheriff Tuesday afternoon, ending an almost month-long saga between Crisp and the county’s Board of Commissioners. “It feels good,” Crisp said, moments after being sworn in Tuesday. “All I want to do is get started doing the job.
