* Thanks to a bucket from Eddie Brooms in the final seconds of regulation, Robbinsville edged Hiwassee Dam 64-63. Brooms led Robbinsville with a big double-double: 29 points, 13 rebounds. Michael Shuler had 15 points.

* Robbinsville wrestling split its schedule, defeating Christ School 54-24 but dropping a 48-24 dual to Cherokee. Junior Sanders and Dan Teasdale each pinned their Christ School opponents, while Noah Crowe, Randy Dockery, Charles Ray Edwards, Randy Lynn, Travis Hooper, Mark Dickey and Trevor Teesateskie all had their hands raised via forfeit.
