* Robbinsville's lassies went 2-1 on the week, defeating Cherokee 35-30 and Blue Ridge 56-32, but falling 39-32 to Murphy. April Holder led the Lady Knights in the victories with respective 18 and 25-point outings; Ella Mae Teesateskie put up 15 in the loss to the Bulldogs.
* The Black Knights struggled to find any success, dropping a 73-64 game to Cherokee; a 73-70 affair with Blue Ridge; and a 70-47 exchange with Murphy. Tom Barlow was Robbinsville's highest contributor against the Braves, good for 26 on the night. Darrin Self had 24 against the Bobcats, while Barlow again took top billing versus the Bulldogs with a 12-point effort.

* The Black Knights remained flawless in Smoky Mountain Conference play, improving to 5-0 in the division by defeating Hayesville 73-65 and beating Andrews 73-55. Mark Manuel led Robbinsville in the win over the Jackets with 18 points, while Dale Walsh dropped 20 on the Wildcats for the team lead. Overall, the Knights were 9-2.
* Not to be outdone, the Lady Knights moved into a first-place tie with Marion for the No. 1 ranking in Western North Carolina by trumping Hayesville 54-33 and Andrews 49-19. Robbinsville was 11-0 (5-0) on the season. Sandra Crisp hit a career-best 27 against the Lady Jackets and 19 versus the Lady Cats, pacing the Knights in the blowouts.
