* Hayesville edged the Black Knights on the gridiron, 23-22. The Knights’ rally bid was cut off late in the game, following a touchdown pass from Dusty Anderson to Clive Wall and two-point conversion run by Jake Beasley – who scooped up a blocked PAT and sprinted across the goal line. Hayesville recovered the ensuing onside kick moments later to seal the deal.
Oct. 31, 1975
* Robbinsville blanked the Andrews Wildcats, 40-0. Clay Lovelace made the first impression for the Black Knights, a 12-yard touchdown. David Orr later scored on a pair of rushes tacked on a 10-yard score, while Tim Solesbee connected with Wayne Harrison for both a touchdown and a conversion pass. In the fourth, Benjy Lane blocked a punt and Harrison returned it 42 yards for a score. Mike Williams later tacked on a 35-yard rushing score.
Oct. 31, 1969
* The Knights bested Andrews, 33-16. Lowell Snider caught a 13-yard touchdown reception from Mark Manuel, while Ronnie Waldroup followed with a 1-yard dive. Dale Walsh piled on three rushing strikes in the second half.
