It’s here … sort of. Though no confirmed cases have been recorded in Graham County – a local man tested negative last week – the much-maligned, heavily discussed coronavirus has forced the hands of lawmakers and officials at the national, state and local levels.

From staff reports The Smoky Mountain Community Theatre – located at 134 Main Street in Bryson City – will be presenting its 12th annual Celtic Concert at 7 p.m. on Friday.   Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door. Bean Sidhe will be performing again this year.

Fayetteville – Anywhere you look, the future of wrestling in Robbinsville is prosperous. The Peak Wrestling Club took five Graham County wrestlers to the NCWay State Championship Tournament, which was held at Fayetteville’s Crown Coliseum on Feb. 29.

Cullowhee – Robbinsville High School students recently competed in the National History Day Competition, held at Western Carolina University.   Sixteen students placed in various contests and every Robbinsville student qualified for the state competition, which will be held at Raleigh’s N.C.
