Robbinsville – He ran like he was mad at the grass. Black Knight fans are no stranger to the weekly antics of sophomore running back Cuttler Adams – but on Friday night, he etched his name in the Robbinsville record books.

Council approves front entrance contract

Lake Santeetlah – An ongoing, front-entrance project took a step forward, with the approval of a contract with Aldridge Brothers Construction to build the structure. The contract was approved after Town of Lake Santeetlah Councilman Keith Predmore presented it at the Nov.

Lake Santeetlah election protest dismissed

Robbinsville – For now, the results of the Town of Lake Santeetlah’s Nov. 2 municipal election will stand. The Graham County Board of Elections dismissed two separate protests filed at a special preliminary hearing Nov. 17, citing incomplete paperwork being submitted as part of the challenges.

Brush fire contained within hours

Snowbird – Graham County experienced its first brush fire of the fall season Nov. 10. The Graham County 911 Center received a report of the fire just before 1 p.m., near a home on Dobson Hill in the Snowbird community. Firefighters from the N.C. Forest Service and U.S.
