Judge blocks voter ID law for entire 2020 election cycle

By Rick Henderson Carolina Journal News Service Raleigh — Barring a successful and rapid appeal, North Carolina’s voter ID requirement for the March 2020 primary looks dead. U.S. District Court Judge Loretta Biggs blocked Senate Bill 824 in an order issued Tuesday, Dec. 31.

County library celebrates year with open house

Robbinsville – The Graham County Public Library threw an open house Dec. 19, to mark the end of another year of growth. Patrons enjoyed an afternoon buffet of snacks, while students of the Mountain Music Program provided musical accompaniment on their guitars.

Robbinsville – Plenty of candidates have filed for seats on both the Graham County Board of Commissioners and the Board of Education, according to the list of names certified at Friday’s Graham County Board of Elections meeting.
