Warrant executed, substance seized

Robbinsville – For the second time in three weeks, a Graham County man has been caught in possession of a controlled substance. Dennis James Solles was one of five individuals arrested during the execution of a search warrant in Andrews on Oct. 22, allegedly in possession of heroin.

Trio of detention officers graduate

Joseph Jones continues to bolster his sheriff’s office. Three detention center trainees – Dakota Crisp, Randy Price and Jordan Rogers – completed the 209 credit-hour N.C. Detention Certification class at Southwestern Community College in Sylva on Nov. 1.

Homeless problem rising in Graham County

Scissors is a cut above

Robbinsville – Gina Schuler, owner of Scissors Salon, opened her shop in Robbinsville only two months ago. But Schuler has been a beautician for 36 years and this is her fourth time owning her own shop.
