Iva Lee Beasley Turpin, 86 of the Bee Cove community of Fontana Dam, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at Mountain View Manor Nursing Center in Bryson City, N.C.
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Gunter Beasley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Luther Turpin; and her grandson, Dusty Orr.
She is survived by her son, Randall Turpin of Longs, S.C.; daughters, Judy Orr of Robbinsville, and Marilyn Williams of Maryville, Tenn.; brother, Gifford Beasley of Fontana Dam; sisters, Margie Anderson, Eva Nell Turpin and Katherine Crane, all of Fontana Dam. She had nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Welch Cove Baptist Church. The Revs. Ronnie Inman, Ricky Boring and Onley Williams will officiate.
Burial will follow the service at the Welch Cove Cemetery in Fontana Village. The family will receive friends from noon – l p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
Due to the risk of COVID-19, facial coverings are required for those attending the service.
