Knights conquer Highlanders in season openers

Robbinsville – The Knights’ varsity basketball program gave the Graham County faithful a sample of what’s to come this season. And after Tuesday’s straight sweep of Highlands, it’s evident that both the Lady Knights and Black Knights will deliver the goods each time they hit the hardwood.

Black Knights topple Rams

Robbinsville – Just before turkey day, the Black Knights stayed busy. Robbinsville (2-0) hosted the T.C. Roberson Rams for a Nov. 23 dual before loading up and traveling to Enka on Nov. 24 for the Jet Invitational.

Knights sprint past Devils, Eagles

Bryson City – Down by 17 at halftime, the Black Knights could easily have thrown in the towel. However, Robbinsville (5-2) refused to go down without a fight, putting up 36 points in the second half of the Nov. 18 road game at Swain County and ultimately edging the Maroon Devils 54-53.

Robbinsville – He ran like he was mad at the grass. Black Knight fans are no stranger to the weekly antics of sophomore running back Cuttler Adams – but on Friday night, he etched his name in the Robbinsville record books.
