Betsy Orr Anderson, age 83 and longtime Concord, Mass. resident, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021. For more than 50 years, she was the loving wife of Grant Spencer Anderson. Born in Robbinsville, N.C. on Oct. 31, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Tillman J.

Town cracking down on lead-footed drivers

Robbinsville – Folks who live and work along Ford Street would like drivers to obey the 20 mph speed limit. But since many don’t, the town is stepping in. The Town Council awarded a $1,208 contract to Treetop Products to install three speed humps and two warning signs along Ford Street.

Lady Knight wins national tournament

Charlotte – There was an unnecessary delay before the inevitable. Aynsley Fink paced the mat back-and-forth, simply awaiting the cue to jog to the middle of the circle, shake hands with her adversary and begin the finals of the 106-pound women’s bracket at the Holy Angels Invitational.

Down to the wire

Robbinsville – Say what you will about the Black Knights, but they sure leave fans on the edge of their seats in the closing minutes of a game. Such was the case Tuesday night, when a spirited rally bid fell short against the visiting Andrews Wildcats, who held on to knock off Robbinsville 56-53.

New Robbinsville mayor hopes to attract jobs
