Town pivots on credit policy

Robbinsville – The first regularly-scheduled meeting of the new Town of Robbinsville Board of Aldermen was an eventful one. The main topic of discussion was the existing leak-credit policy.

Reaching new heights

On Nov. 5, Robbinsville High School Career and Technical Education instructors Rick Parham and Megan Williams took a hike. This was no ordinary hike, however.

Man killed in ATV wreck

Atoah – A county resident died in an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) accident Sunday afternoon. Reports indicate that 70-year-old Charles Andrew Carey departed his home at 1512 Snowbird Road on a four-wheeler around 3:30 p.m.

West Fort Hill – On Sunday, members of both the Robbinsville United Methodist Church and Bryson City First Baptist Church choirs met together for the first rehearsal of a concert that will take place at 3 p.m., Saturday, at Robbinsville United Methodist Church.

Car crash leaves two injured

Mill Creek – A two-vehicle accident Friday on Tallulah Road resulted in two drivers being transported to area hospitals. Around 3:28 p.m., Anahi Aguilar of Andrews was traveling north on U.S. 129, near the intersection of Lower Mill Creek Road.

Giving hearts

As families gather today for a meal of turkey, dressing and all the fixings, it is important to remember that not everyone enjoys a warm home and a hot meal.  Graham County is blessed with several organizations that have been established to help those who are not as fortunate as others.
