Knights split home slate

Robbinsville – Entering Tuesday’s game against Murphy, the Black Knights had lofty expectations. And why not? Robbinsville (4-5, 4-5) was coming off a redeeming, 7-1 victory over Hiwassee Dam (1-7, 1-7) on Friday and had won four of its last five.

Knights drop first two games

Murphy – For a moment, Robbinsville was in the driver’s seat. Starting pitcher Jeb Shuler led off the Knights’ road game Saturday against Murphy with a solo homer over the left-field fence, giving Robbinsville a boost of momentum before the defense even took the field.

And down the stretch they come!

Rosman – Who is going to stop the Robbinsville Middle School Black Knights? Road victories over the last week at Hiwassee Dam/Ranger, Hayesville and Rosman have everyone in the Smoky Mountain Conference asking that question.

Perimeter blues

Cherokee – A nice first-half pace was not enough for Robbinsville.

Knocking off the rust

Hiwassee Dam – If Saturday was any indication, Robbinsville basketball looks primed to move into the upper echelon of competition in the Smoky Mountain Conference. Graham County’s contribution to the division bused both varsity squads to Hiwassee Dam for a preseason scrimmage against the Eagles.

Seamless on the diamond

Copperhill, Tenn. – If the first week is any indication, Black Knight fans could be in for a fun season of Robbinsville baseball.

Two games, two wins

Robbinsville – For the first time this season, the Black Knights strung together back-to-back wins.  A big conference victory over Rosman (2-18, 1-10) on Tuesday, Feb.

Go big or go home

Robbinsville – A strong, second-half defense was only one key to the Black Knights’ success Tuesday night.

Champions!

Hayesville – For the first time since 2014, Robbinsville can lay claim to the Smoky Mountain Conference Middle School Title. A 43-41 win over the Hiwassee Dam/Ranger Eagles (No. 3 West seed) Jan. 23 in Hayesville secured the Black Knights’ basketball bragging rights.

3 games, 3 Lady Knights wins

Robbinsville – After a 4-game road trip, the Robbinsville Middle School basketball program returned to the friendly confines of home Tuesday. Stops at Andrews on Dec.
