Work on Moose Branch subdivision set to resume

Robbinsville – With the off-season for construction coming to an end, work is expected to resume on a 13-unit subdivision of affordable housing, off Moose Branch Road. Ground was broken on the Graham County Rural Development Authority’s Moose Branch Subdivision Project in October.

Father arrested after infant death

Robbinsville – A week-long investigation ended with the arrest of a local man. Corbin Lee Nunez, 22, was booked into the Graham County Detention Center on Monday and charged with murder in the death of an 8-month-old female infant.

Hiwassee Dam – It was a hotly contested nail-biter between two Graham County programs. And in the end, Snowbird prevailed. The Mite Warriors capped off a 9-1 campaign by defeating the Robbinsville Black Knights 35-31 on Feb. 5 in the finals of the Smokey Mountain Youth Conference tournament.
