Peyton Augustus Buchanan, 19 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021. He was a native of Graham County and the son of Brandon Buchanan of Robbinsville, N.C. and Maria Millsaps Buchanan of Marion, N.C.

Judy Moose Adams

Judy Moose Adams, 78 of the Moose Branch Community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Swain Community Hospital in Bryson City, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Ethel Johnson Moose.

Brush fires threaten homes

Tuskeegee – Firefighters with the N.C. Forest Service, U.S. Forest Service and Stecoah Fire Department responded to a small brush fire in Tuskegee Acres around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Quick response from firefighters resulted in the fire being kept small, although three structures were threatened.

County manager named
