Robbinsville – After some discussion in a special meeting Friday, the Graham County Board of Commissioners has tabled discussion on purchasing new lights for the Robbinsville High School football field, pending more information.

Lucy Morgan Wright

Lucy Morgan Wright, 79, of Fontana Dam, N.C., passed peacefully in her sleep, at home on her beloved mountain Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021.  Lucy was the only child of the late Billy and Marguerite Boyd Morgan, of Murray, Ky.

Lance Colby Waldroup, 30 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at his residence. A native of Graham County, he was the son of Jeff and Lynn Cape Waldroup of Robbinsville, N.C.

Edna Phillips

Edna Orr Phillips, 91, our precious “Nan,” went home on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021.  She came face-to-face with the Master, and she was able to give her nephew Gary – who had gone on 38 years earlier, on the same day – a message from his mom.

Robbinsville – "You just sort of know when it's time to move on." Carolyn Stewart joined the ranks of Graham County's Register of Deeds office in 1987 and was elected to the head position in 1998, a post she has held without interruption since.
