Food truck, RTA discussed at aldermen meeting

Robbinsville – The possibility of food-truck regulations for Robbinsville came up during the Robbinsville Town Council meeting Feb. 3.  Alderman Debbie Beasley said some food truck operators had asked about Robbinsville’s rules on food trucks entering the vicinity on a daily basis.

About two years ago, Grace Anderson became infatuated by one of her brother’s Robbinsville High School Wrestling teammates. At the same time, the young wrestler – Payne Anderson – was cultivating feelings for Grace.

Charles Dale

Charles E. Dale, 89, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Brookhaven Nursing Center in Brookville, Ohio.  Charles was born in Robbinsville, N.C. on June 1, 1931, the son of Floyd and Dicie Dale, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him were two sisters and three brothers.

Janice Wiggins

Janice Owens Wiggins, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at her residence. A native of Graham County and life-long resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Harry Joe and Lucille Massey Owens. Janice was fun-loving and took great pride in her cooking.

Perry Allen James

Perry Allen James, 60 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. He was a native of Graham County and the son of Frank and Nell James Jr., and the late Mary Jane James.

Sweetwater – A Mount Holly man remains behind bars in Graham County, after leading Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and Graham County law enforcement on a car chase in an allegedly-stolen vehicle on Jan. 28.

Man charged with assault

Robbinsville – A local man was arrested Saturday, after an alleged assault incident involving a woman.  Court documents show that 28-year-old Michael Noah Moore allegedly shoved the victim to the ground and held her throat in a manner that restricted her ability to breathe.
