Columbia, S.C. – Just two months ago, Abigail Knight hoisted the American Athletic Conference championship trophy high above her head. It was a moment she had long waited for at the collegiate level, as a title of any kind had evaded her during previous efforts from Boston College.

A 24-win season and the program’s second trip to the Western Regional Finals resulted in the Robbinsville Lady Knights nabbing top honors when the All-Smoky Mountain Conference lineup was revealed at the end of the season.

Asheboro -- The Lady Knights are still dancin'. Bolstered by a pair of home runs from Zoie Shuler and Sophie Roberts, Robbinsville (No. 4 seed, 24-2) upended the No. 1-seeded Uwharrie Charter Academy Lady Eagles (20-4-1) in a 4-3 triumph Friday.

Robbinsville – It was business as usual for Robbinsville (18-2, 10-0), which posted a pair of 5-inning, lopsided home victories. A 10-0 blanking of Hayesville (1-14, 1-10) on Friday was eclipsed by a 14-4 disposal of Hiwassee Dam (7-7, 5-5) in a make-up affair Monday.
