* The Robbinsville track teams placed third at Andrews. It was the first conference loss for the Knights in seven years. Between injuries and not being able to use pole-vault points, Robbinsville had a tough time competing. The meet was held at a school with no pole-vault pit. “It’s a double whammy when you lose out due to both incidences,” said head coach Ronny Carringer. ”We just don’t have the depth to cover.” Robbinsville finished with a team score of 100 and the Knights still had some stellar performances.

* Teachers and parents were concerned that the construction and renovation at Big Oak Stadium was interfering with limited outdoor play-space that the elementary school kids would have otherwise had. Superintendent Donald Andrews said, “We have to wait and take care of safety issues. Also, we do it when the contractor says he can do it.” The input of new football coach Bruce Snyder is also important, as more improvements will be undertaken. Businesses and individuals who contribute to the stadium renovations will have their names placed on the new fence that will enclose the field.
