Robbinsville – At the continued meeting of the Graham County Board of Commissioners on June 25, then-Sheriff Joseph Jones presented a proposal to purchase body cameras for his officers.

Mask enforcement rule confuses businesses

Raleigh – Gov. Roy Cooper’s executive order requiring face masks made North Carolina businesses responsible for enforcement.  But they weren’t given directions about how to comply until the order had taken effect.

Robbinsville – The recent directive by Gov. Roy Cooper – for North Carolina to remain in Phase Two of COVID-19 re-opening protocol – had Graham County seniors fearing the worst. Under Phase Two, mass gatherings are limited to 25 people outdoors and 10 indoors.

Jones resigns as county Sheriff

In a move that caught everyone off guard, Graham County Sheriff Joseph Jones tendered his resignation early Monday afternoon. The action takes effect immediately.

Youth football, cheer season cancelled
