Robbinsville – Graham County taxpayers will save a substantial amount following Brookfield Renewable Energy dropping its appeal against the county over its valuation of the Cheoah Dam and Santeetlah Dam, both of which are operated by the firm.

Robbinsville – A Tallulah resident was arrested for attempting to pass off a counterfeit bill at a local fast food restaurant.
According to court documents, 39-year-old Kimberly Dawn Blauvelt allegedly attempted to use a fake $100 bill at the Wendy’s restaurant, located on the Rodney Orr Bypass.
Robbinsville – Graham County – as well as others in the N.C. Parent of Social Services, District 30 – are contending with a larger than average number of children in the foster care system and a lower number of court days per month.
Some in Graham County are able to breathe a sigh of relief, as the COVID-19 vaccine is slowly – but surely – rolled out in the community.
County Health Director Beth Booth said that as of Tuesday, 400 doses of the vaccine had been administered in Graham County.

Stecoah – A Georgia man has died following a New Year’s night crash on Hwy. 28 in Graham County.
The N.C. Highway Patrol confirmed the Jan. 11 death of 46-year-old Nghia H. Le, from injuries sustained in the wreck. Le’s address was listed as 5510 Stonewood Court in Norcross, Ga.
