Joyce Elaine Crisp Jenkins

Joyce Elaine Crisp Jenkins, 89 of the Stecoah community in Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, after a courageous battle with sarcoma.  Joyce – or “Joycie,” as many of her family and friends called her – was born on May 25, 1932, to Clyde A.

Paul Longbrake

Paul Longbrake, 83 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at Valley View Rehabilitation and Care Center in Andrews, N.C. Paul was a loving and devoted husband to the late Anne Prator Longbrake.

Jim A. Bird

Jim A. Bird, 64, of the Snowbird Community in Robbinsville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021.  He was born in Swain County, N.C. on July 8, 1957, to the late William Bird and Ellen Bird, who survive him.  Jim spent his career working as a logger and then later in life a truck driver.

Jeremiah Williams

Jeremiah Williams, 36 of the Farley Branch Community of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Oliver Joe and Connie Farley Williams.

Richard Dale Eller

Richard Dale Eller, Sr., 64 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late David Hugh and Irene Sawyer Eller.

Deborah Jean Bowen

Deborah Jean Bowen, 69 of Almond, N.C., passed away on Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at her home.  Deborah (Debbie) retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years working in Almond, Whittier and the surrounding communities.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister and a friend to many.

Douglas McArthur Day

Douglas McArthur Day, 76 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 2, 2021. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late William and Ora Mae Morgan Day.

John Thomas Rogers

John Thomas Rogers, 96 of the Pinhook Community in Robbinsville, N.C., passed away early Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation. A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late J. Arthur and Mary Holloway Rogers, and the youngest of nine children.

Raymond David Williams, Sr.

Raymond David Williams Sr., 72 of the Fort Hill community in Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Friday May 7, 2021 at his residence. He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Leonard Williams and Zelma Lee Jenkins Rogers.

Frankie Farr Bailey

Frankie Bailey, 82 of the Stecoah community in Robbinsville, N.C., had a change of address on Monday, July 26, 2021. She no longer resides at 237 Dry Creek Road, but is now residing in her new mansion on the Streets of Gold by the banks of the River Jordan.
