Dale Crawford Medlin, 71, changed his address from West Fort Hill Road in Robbinsville to the Golden Streets of Heaven on Monday, June 7, 2021, at the Charles George VA Hospital in Asheville.   He was born on July 26, 1949 to Clercy Elizabeth Hubbard Medlin and John Andy Medlin.

Madeline Garner

Madeline Postell Garner passed on Wednesday, May 9, 2021.  She was born on Aug. 12, 1928 in Robbinsville, N.C., to Abe L. Postell and Julie Jordan Postell.

James Smith

James Lee Smith, 76 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 31, 2021.   “Jimmy” was a 1963 graduate of Robbinsville High School, where he played football as quarterback for the Blue Devils.

Brett Jones

Jaymz Brett Jones, 26 of Murphy, N.C., whose Cherokee name is “Ganuteyo” (meaning Rope Twister) passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at his residence. Brett was the son of Carrie Smith of Murphy, N.C. and Bud and Tracy Jones of Robbinsville, N.C.

Tony Blevins

Tony Dean Blevins, 68 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Swain Community Hospital in Bryson City. He was the son of the late William Wayne and Clara Bell Shope Blevins.

David "Sid" Haney

David “Sid” Haney, 73 of the Aquone community, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, at Mountain View Manor in Bryson City, N.C. A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Willa Mae Haney.

Ray Orr

Lloyd “Ray” Orr, 77 of the Sweetwater community in Robbinsville, N.C., went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on Saturday, May 29, 2021. He was the son of the late Roy and Nora Elliott Orr.

Marty Millsaps

Marty Dwayne “Wayne” Millsaps, 42 of Cartersville, Ga., passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at his residence. Born on November 30, 1978 in Andrews, N.C., he was the son of Marty Millsaps and Donna Hyatt Hanna.

Earl Max Orr

Earl Max Orr, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, May 24, 2021. He passed away peacefully at his home while under the care of Genesis Hospice. Earl was born in Robbinsville, N.C. on March 11, 1941. He is the son of the late Paul and Ethel (Parker) Orr.

Carol Stewart Knaffl

Carol Stewart Knaffl of Knoxville, Tenn. went home to be with Jesus on Monday, April 26, 2021 after an extended illness.  She is the daughter of the late Rev. Gurley and Margie Eller Stewart of Robbinsville.
