Roy Perron

Roy E. Perron, 68 of the Yellow Creek Community in Robbinsville, N.C., and Parrish, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville. He was the son of the late Roy and Ruth Grimshaw Perron.

Tiffany Ann Medlin Moss

Tiffany Ann Medlin Moss, 41 of Mt. Airy, Ga., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.  Born on June 3, 1980 in Habersham County, Ga., she was the daughter of Charles Medlin and Gloria Jenkins Medlin.  Ms. Moss was a 1998 graduate of Habersham Central High School.

Amanda Shope Keough

Amanda Shope Keough was born in Graham County to James and Mary Millsaps Shope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Gates; two grandsons, Joshua Willis and Tony Roberts; six brothers, Oscar McGaha, and Dillard, Clinton, Sam, B.F.

Kurtis Newman

Kurtis Newman, 59 of the Panther Creek Community, was called by the Master to board the Glory-Land Express, on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021. His ticket was punched and handed back and read, “First-Class to Heaven,” through God’s Atoning Grace.

Avis Carver Pressley

Avis Carver Pressley, 62 of the Dick Branch community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Grady and Flonnie Collins Carver.

Jerry Postell

Jerry Dean Postell, 77 of Andrews, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.  He was a native of the Red Marble community, a graduate of Andrews High School and a member of Red Marble Baptist Church. Jerry was born on Oct. 23, 1943.

Iva Lee Beasley Turpin

Iva Lee Beasley Turpin, 86 of the Bee Cove community of Fontana Dam, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at Mountain View Manor Nursing Center in Bryson City, N.C. She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Gunter Beasley.

Carolyn Deyton Crisp

Carolyn Deyton Crisp, 72, of the Tuskeegee community in Robbinsville, N.C., died peacefully, Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at home, after a battle with liver cancer.  She was a native of Robbinsville, a graduate of Robbinsville High School and a member of Tuskeegee Baptist Church.

Kris J. Buchanan

Kris J. Buchanan, 47 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at Swain Community Hospital in Bryson City, N.C. He was a native of Graham County and the son of James Buchanan and Patricia Rogers.

Jackie Darrell Williams

Jackie Darrell Williams, 82 of the Yellow Creek community of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville N.C. He was a native of Graham County and the son of Dave and Hettie Anderson Williams.
