Local lawyer fills vacancy on board

Robbinsville – The Robbinsville Tourism Authority has welcomed Brady Cody, a Robbinsville lawyer, as its newest board member. “I think it’s a good thing. I think we’re going to make things happen,” said Debbie Beasley, town alderman, chairman of the RTA board, and interim RTA director.

REVVED UP struggling to find funding, volunteers

Robbinsville – REVVED UP is a non-profit dedicated to Robbinsville economic development, but is experiencing cash flow and volunteer shortage problems of its own. REVVED UP is an acronym for “Robbinsville Envisioning Vital Vibrant Economic Development and Urban Prosperity.

Car show details revealed

Robbinsville – Details are being worked out for a car show that will be held in Robbinsville on May 7. Members of the Robbinsville Tourism Authority met on March 29 to discuss the event.

Pair of board members resign from Robbinsville Tourism Authority

Robbinsville – The Robbinsville Tourism Authority has gone through some major changes over the last month. Director Karen Taylor and board member Teresa Garland have resigned due to personal reasons. Taylor resigned after the Jan. 25 meeting, while Garland resigned at the end of the Feb.

Church restoration still underway

Robbinsville – The Old Mother Church is still raising funds for much-needed repairs. Robbinsville United Methodist Church Pastor Eric Reece sat down with the Robbinsville Tourism Authority at its Jan. 25 meeting, to discuss the progress made thus far with the restoration project.

Tickets on-sale soon for Hicks concert

Robbinsville – The Robbinsville Tourism Authority discussed the upcoming Taylor Hicks concert in May at its Nov. 30 meeting. Tickets will be available online soon. The intention – as of now – is to sell 800-1,000 online.
