New tourism member begins

Robbinsville – The Robbinsville Tourism Authority met Tuesday evening, marking its newest member’s first time at the table.  Blevins Tire and Automotive owner Richard Blevins took his seat as the board’s new member, after being approved by the Robbinsville Board of Aldermen.

Suzanne Agnes Adams

Suzanne Agnes Adams, 72 of the Snowbird Community in Robbinsville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 18, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Owen and Ida Teesateskie Smoker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, sisters, nephew and grandson.

Diane Dalgety Costa, 78 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Buchan Dalgety. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Barry Allen Williams, Jr.

Helen Riddle

Helen Phillips Riddle, 94 of the Hares Creek Community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at her residence. A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Clara Phillips.

New diversion program begins operation in county

A new program aims to help residents of Graham County who have been in trouble with the law – and are dealing with substance issues – get back on their feet.  For approximately two months, a grant-funded Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion program has been operating in the county.
