Martins Creek – It took a few games to bring it all together, but the middle school Black Knights finally moved into the win column Friday. In a road trip to Martins Creek, Robbinsville (1-3) knocked off the Hornets 5-2, thanks in part to a well-rounded afternoon from Rylen Orr.

Hayesville – Everywhere you looked, the Lady Knights glimmered in their season opener. Tasked with traveling to Hayesville to kickstart the campaign, Robbinsville (2-0) promptly went on a hitting tear across the second, third and fourth innings.

Robbinsville – The middle school Black Knights finished their abbreviated season on a high note Friday, knocking off visiting Cherokee 19-6. “I’m happy that this group got to finish their season at home, with a win,” said Robbinsville head coach Tommy Adams. “They deserve it.

Robbinsville – The middle school Knights baseball program has already squeezed in seven games in this short season. The Black Knights (1-6) downed Cherokee 14-2 in an April 22 road affair, but dropped home games to Swain County (20-8, April 19) and Rosman (14-2, April 27).
