From staff reports Brasstown – On Sunday, the Brasstown Concert Association will present musician/ singer/songwriter Elise Witt with the band Mezzanine (Mick Kinney and Don Erdman). An Atlanta resident since 1977, Witt was born in Switzerland and raised in North Carolina.

Folk School Hosting Holiday Week

The holiday season possesses a special kind of magic and reverence for tradition, and the John C. Campbell Folk School’s annual Holiday in the Mountains Week (December 9–13) reflects that seasonal spirit. The week kicks off on Monday, December 9 with “A Celebration of Carving with Helen Gibson.

House of Moves Coming to Brasstown

House of Moves will perform a Friday night concert at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown at 7 p.m. on Oct. 18. The show will be held in the Keith House. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. House of Moves is a collection of members from the Asheville based band, Moves.
