Old Mother Church to apply for repair help

Robbinsville – Graham County’s oldest church may soon receive some much-needed repairs.

Lady Knights ready to joust

Elizabeth Williams

Elizabeth Hardin Williams, 51 of the West Buffalo Community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at her residence.         She was the daughter of the late Pete and June Hill Hardin.

Brenda Pressley

Brenda Phillips Pressley, 72 of the Dick Branch Community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020. A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Vonna Grant Phillips.

Inez Almond

Inez Millsaps Almond, 91 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 26, 2020 at her residence. A native of Graham County, she was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Carver Millsaps and father and step-mother, Ronald and Leona Hensley.
Due to rain, last year’s Trunk-or-Treat event had to be moved inside the Robbinsville Elementary School gymnasium. Though the 2020 installment will be held outdoors, COVID-19 protocols will see people spread much further apart than last year.

A sense of normalcy

Robbinsville – After going through a proverbial roller-coaster of planning, the annual Trunk-or-Treat event will take place from 3-6 p.m. Saturday at Robbinsville High School.

Tony Odom

Tony Lamar Odom, 69 of Robbinsville, N.C., was called home to meet his Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020 at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation. A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Harvey and Blanche Orr Odom.

Gerald Buchanan

Gerald Max Buchanan, 81 of the Buchanan Branch Community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with his Lord on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020. He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Jake and Vinnie Wiggins Buchanan.
