Robbinsville – Anyone reading the record book in the future will come across Friday’s home game against Swain County and see that Robbinsville suffered its eighth loss of the season. Perhaps what might get overlooked is just how close the game was.

Robbinsville – The Civil War came alive Monday inside the Robbinsville High School auditorium, as re-enactors Austin Walls, Carol Hensley and Annette Hensley shared both their knowledge and extensive collection of artifacts with students and teachers.

Robbinsville – Formal at times – contentious at others – the Jan. 8 town Board of Aldermen meeting was spearheaded by a 45-minute public comment period on a proposal that would allow voters to decide on alcohol sales within the city limits.

Robbinsville competes in dual, tournament

The Robbinsville wrestling teams split its duties Saturday, with one crew traveling to the Enka Duals and another taking part in the Osley B. Saunooke Tournament at Cherokee. Robbinsville went 2-3 at the Enka Duals.

Rosman – In a battle of winless teams, something has to give. Unfortunately for the Robbinsville Black Knights (0-7, 0-3), the win went in-favor of the home team in Tuesday’s battle at Rosman (1-10, 1-5), with the Knights falling to the Tigers, 53-50.

Robbinsville – Graham County Schools Superintendent Angie Knight announced that the district has received a total of $3,378,800 in grant money during the past three months at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting.

Robbinsville – Entering Christmas break, the Robbinsville Middle School basketball program is flying high. The latest triumph for both the Lady Knights (9-1) and the Black Knights (8-2) took place Dec. 19, when Robbinsville welcomed Swain for the final action of 2019.

Hendersonville – The Robbinsville Black Knights ran afoul of some tough competition at the North Henderson Christmas Tournament. A 73-27 loss to the hosting Knights on Friday was followed by a 71-28 loss at the hands of the Mitchell Mountaineers on Saturday.
