SMC football: Not for the weak of heart

There's a reason a mention of Smoky Mountain Conference football sends shivers down the spines of opponents far and wide – the reputation of the division speaks for itself.

Practice makes perfect

Robbinsville – If Monday's exhibitions are any indication, another Smoky Mountain Conference title could very well be in the immediate future of Black Knights basketball. Hosting Murphy and Andrews for a pair of scrimmages, Robbinsville went through its playbook with a roster of 10 at its disposal.

Lady Knights enter break 9-1

Murphy – Thanks to the 8th grade coast trip and Spring Break, the middle school Lady Knights will have a 19-day gap in-between games. The rest of the Smoky Mountain Conference is hopeful that the interruption will cool the team off.

Lady Knights continue impressive run

Robbinsville – One midseason hiccup aside, the Lady Knights have slayed anyone who has dared to step into their path. Follow Tuesday's 16-1 dismantling of the Murphy Lady Bulldogs, Robbinsville (8-1) has successfully outscored all of its middle school opposition thus far 109-25.

Baseball decisively sweeps Hiwassee Dam

Hiwassee Dam – The game was destined to be another tightly-knit battle. That is, until Robbinsville kickstarted the top of the fourth. Coming off a 6-4 triumph over Hiwassee Dam on March 25, the Black Knights entered the midway point of Friday's road trip to face the Eagles with a 5-2 advantage.

Black Knights continue hunt for title

Middle school splits the bill

Bryson City – A clean sweep of Swain County by Robbinsville on Dec. 5 was followed by a shaky showing at home Monday. The middle school Lady Knights (5-4) exorcised the Devils 54-16, while the Black Knights (4-5) cast out the demons 47-44.
