Stecoah – After logging 150 miles on the Appalachian Trail since mid-February, on May 5 – with a good night’s sleep in her own bed behind her – Graham County resident Kelly Karr got a ride to Stecoah Gap from her husband Raymond and resumed her 2,190-mile journey.

Graham County Schools to ask for bigger contribution

Robbinsville – Earlier this year, an auditor advised that Graham County School District has been operating “paycheck to paycheck” and needed an additional $100,000 a year contribution from the county to maintain basic operations. It turns out that estimate was optimistic.
