Wilma Royal, 83 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, in Whiteville, N.C. She was a native of Graham County, and the daughter of the late Nathan and Ada Cable Garland.

Voyce Crisp Lovin

Voyce Crisp Lovin, 86 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at Graham Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Dave and Estella Turpin Crisp.

Kobe Gavin Toineeta

Kobe Gavin Toineeta, 25, of the Birdtown community, entered his eternal home on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. Kobe was a 2015 graduate of Swain County High School and will forever be remembered as an old soul who never met a stranger.

Charles Edgar “Sonny Boy” McMonigle, Jr.

Charles Edgar “Sonny Boy” McMonigle, Jr., 91, formerly of Maryland passed away, Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, in Punta Gorda, Fla. A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Charles Edgar McMonigle, Sr., and Bessie Hill McMonigle.

Gladys Jenkins

Gladys Jenkins, 92 of the Stecoah community, passed peacefully Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022. She was born in the Snowbird community on June 3, 1930, to Clara and Sam Adams. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Dale Jenkins; a sister, Leona Smith; and a brother, Herman Adams.

June Farley Jenkins

June Farley Jenkins, 87 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Robbinsville, N.C. She was a native of Graham County, and the daughter of the late, Wilson Riley Farley and Dora Williams Farley.

Charles George

Charles passed away peacefully in the early morning of Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, at the Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents C.N. George and Margie Brank, a brother, David George, and a daughter Jessica George.

William Gentry Trantham

William Gentry Trantham, 20 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 3, 2022, at Duke University Hospital. A native of Graham County, Gentry was born Nov. 8, 2001, in Buncombe County. He is the son of William Scotty and Lisa Moss Trantham.

Elizabeth Hope Holloway

Elizabeth Hope Holloway, 28 of Bryson City, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of Jack Holloway of Robbinsville and Rosa Norris of Bryson City, and step-daughter to Tony Norris of Bryson City.

Roger Dale Smallen

Roger Dale Smallen, 71 of Lenoir City, Tenn., – formerly of Dublin, Ga. – passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022. Dale was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He enjoyed a successful career as a high school football coach.
