Johnny Mitchell “Mitch” Hedrick, 58 and formerly of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Saturday, May 7, 2022, at his home in Whiteville, N.C. He was a native of Graham County and the son of Lloyd and Marva Dean Nichols Hedrick.

Jimmy Dallas Cunningham, 79 of Almond, N.C., passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022. He was born June 29, 1942 in Lincolnton, Ga. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a 32-degree Mason at the Winter Park, Fla.

Faye B. Martin

Faye B. Martin, 77 of Powell, Tenn., passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born on April 5, 1945 in Robbinsville, N.C. and lived there until after graduation from high school. Faye was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Powell.

Norma Jean Smith, age 54, passed away peacefully at her residence in Little Snowbird surrounded by her family. She was born on April 20, 1968 in Swain County, N.C., to Tom and Jeanette Teesateskie. She worked for Harrah’s Cherokee Casino as a gaming technician for over 20 years.
