Jean Hill Craig, 86 and a native of Robbinsville, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021 at her residence in Deer Park, Texas.  She was born on July 13, 1934 to Thomas and Leayler Hill.

Geraldine (Dean) Cook-Trull, of Phoenix, Ariz. and a native of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 23rd, 2021 at John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz., due to complications from COVID-19.

Lynda Saunooke

Lynda Saunooke, 79 of Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Nick and Nora Brown Saunooke.

Old Mother Church selected for refurbishment program

Robbinsville – The Old Mother Church has been officially accepted into the Partners for Sacred Places program, through Sacred Places in Central Appalachia.

Ruth Brown

Ruth Brown, 83 of Robbinsville, N.C., stepped into heaven on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, with her family by her side, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Ruth was a native of Edwardsville, Ala.

Charles Dale

Charles E. Dale, 89, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Brookhaven Nursing Center in Brookville, Ohio.  Charles was born in Robbinsville, N.C. on June 1, 1931, the son of Floyd and Dicie Dale, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him were two sisters and three brothers.

Perry Allen James

Perry Allen James, 60 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. He was a native of Graham County and the son of Frank and Nell James Jr., and the late Mary Jane James.

Man charged with assault

Robbinsville – A local man was arrested Saturday, after an alleged assault incident involving a woman.  Court documents show that 28-year-old Michael Noah Moore allegedly shoved the victim to the ground and held her throat in a manner that restricted her ability to breathe.
