Daniel Luther Braswell, Sr., 90 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away into eternal life with his Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at the Elizabeth House Hospice Center in Flat Rock, N.C.   Dan was born on Sept. 13, 1929, in Robbinsville, N.C.

R. Wayne Carter, 93, of Robbinsville, NC, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020. A native of Barnardsville, Mr. Carter was a son of the late Hargrove and Cora Styles Carter.

Col. Roy W. Bahr

Colonel Roy W. Bahr, 89, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, in Knoxville, Tenn.    He was born Sept. 10th, 1930 in Jacksonville, Fla., the son of Claire Marie LaPan and Frederick Bahr. Roy graduated from Robert E. Lee Senior High School, Class of 1948.

Claude E. Shuler

Claude E. Shuler, age 74 of the Lower Mountain Creek Community of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020 at Piedmont Hospital of Newnan, Ga. He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Frank Shuler and Rebecca Cable Shuler.

Morris Cook

Morris Cook, 79 of the Sweetgum community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., after a short illness.   A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Austin and Winnie Ledbetter Cook.

Diamond Brown

Diamond Brown – of the Snowbird community – has Walked On, joining the Ancestors, following an altruistic life.  He was the son of Leona (Kalonahuskie) Brown and Sam Brown.  Diamond was a beloved peace officer, serving for more than three decades on local, state and federal levels.

Roscoe Ritcher

Roscoe Richter, 93, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Jan. 28, 2020. A native of Florida and resident of Lakeland, Fla. He was born Nov. 21, 1926 in Graceville, Fla. to the late A.B. Richter and Mae Bell Hughes Richter.

Ada Laverne Mitchell Burch Crawford

Ada Laverne Mitchell Burch Crawford went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.  Laverne was born on April 2, 1927, in Escambia County, Fla. She lived in Miami, Fla., Mobile, Ala., Knoxville and Nashville, Tenn. Laverne and Tommy L. Burch, Sr.

Eloise Eller Corbin

Eloise Eller Corbin, 97 1/2, of the Atoah Community in Robbinsville, N.C. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020 at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation. A native of Graham County, she was the daughter, and last living child, of the late John Doke and Minnie Hooper Eller.

Nahala Sue Waldroup

Nahala Sue Waldroup, 85, of Carpenter Hollow Road in Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020 at Graham Healthcare and  Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Alfred and Sarah Jane Farley Carpenter.
